Social Responsibility

The Harvard Club of NYC has a firm commitment to social causes and making it easy for our members to participate in social outreach programs. The two core areas of our social responsibility programs include our Crimson Impact program and the Harvard Club of New York Foundation.

Crimson Impact

CRIMSON IMPACT is the Social Service arm of the Harvard Club of New York, designed to serve as a clearinghouse for HCNY members looking to volunteer and club members involved in organizations seeking volunteers. Crimson Impact connects HCNY members with community and public service opportunities. We construe service very broadly. We are seeking pro bono services in all professions and looking for people to share their special interests and talents with individuals and organizations who may not have access to them. To date, we have engaged a large number of partner projects and organizations and are always looking for more!

If you’re looking for volunteers, you may contact us at  crimsonimpact@hcny.com

The Foundation

The Harvard Club of New York Foundation was founded in 1953 and has assisted over 400 New York City students in realizing their goal of attending Harvard College. The HCNY Foundation is a non-profit corporation organized to foster scientific, literary, and educational interests among members of the Harvard Club of New York City, to provide scholarships for students at Harvard University and to advance the interests and promote the welfare of Harvard University.

The HCNY Foundation’s recently launched website is dedicated to these activities and help inspire our members and other Harvard alumni to join this important initiative. The website also includes the functionality to make on-line donations for continued financial support, so please visit the website to learn more.
