Corporate Events

A name synonymous with business success, the Harvard Club’s eighteen banquet rooms on the Club’s second and third floors vary in size and décor, and are the perfect for all type of business events. Small groups or a large gathering of up to 200 guests can be accommodated at any time of the day or evening for meetings, receptions, corporate parties, or gala functions.

A rich environment with dramatic finishes.

Named in 1925 for Nicholas Biddle, Class of 1900, House Committee and Building Committee Chairman and personal financial advisor to Vincent Astor, multi-millionaire heir to the Astor estate. After Biddle’s premature death, Astor paid for the room to be decorated and designed by well-known architect Charles A. Platt.

A contemporary space with floor-to-ceiling windows.

Cambridge rooms can be open or broken down into Cambridge I, Cambridge II, Cambridge III, and Cambridge IV. Opened in 2003, part of the Davis Brody Bond expansion of the Club, these rooms are decorated with 1930 mural sketches by Barry Faulkner. A well known mural artist, creator of a magnificent mosaic in the RCA building of Rockefeller Center and murals in the National Archive Building in Washington D.C.

The room overlooks 44th with natural light and is framed by books, fireplaces and expansive windows.

The Gordon Reading Room is set away from the other private spaces making the space one of the most private. Part of the original 1894 Clubhouse, this room, the largest in the Club at that time, held the Reading Room/Library. In 1905 as part of the Club’s first expansion, the beautiful plaster ceiling and marble fireplaces were added. In 1941 it was converted to the Ladies Lounge, when a portion of the Clubhouse was segregated into Ladies Quarters.

Mahogany Room

Over looking 44th Street with Natural Light the is decorated with  floor-to-ceiling, wood-paneling.

The Mahogany Room also has a Foyer directly outside.  Very quiet and intimate space. This room’s original use in the first 1894 building was the Billiard Room, set with a pool table. Named in 1945 after a dining group known as “The Mahogany Club” who financed the plaster ceiling and the paneling in 1905.

Originally the Card Room, it was named and dedicated in 1953 Presidents’ Room and is decorated with portraits of past Club presidents.

Slocum Room

An intimate space for a group up to 30.

Named in 1940 for Thomas Williams Slocum, Class of 1890, beloved Club member and a fervent supporter of the Club and University. He held every position on the Board of Managers and lived in a penthouse on the building next door so he could watch over the club 24/7.

Weld Room

The Club’s boardroom with advanced teleconference capabilities.

Dedicated in 1952 to the memory of two presidents of the Club, father and son, Francis M. Weld, Classes of 1860 and 1897. The father, one of the first members of the Club, was a physician during the Civil War and moved to NYC when the war was over.
