The 45th Street Facade under construction in 1914. With the bricks removed, we can see into the North Room and fourth- and fifth-floor bedrooms. Behind the bricks is the space that became the Main Dining Room. OSHA, had it existed in those days, would probably have had something to say about the scaffolding.
