Wheelchair accessibility of the Clubhouse
The new entrance at 35 West 44th Street is at sidewalk level. old entrance at 27 West 44th Street is not accessible. The new elevators are fully ADA compliant and while the old ones are not, they are still usable by most persons in wheel chairs. The only places where someone confined to a wheel chair might have difficulties are the men's athletic locker room on the sixth floor (the women's locker room is fully ADA compliant) and some of the bedrooms. The bedrooms in the old wing cannot be reached by wheel chair. The Clubhouse does have a number of fully compliant bedrooms, however, which are accessible. When planning to stay overnight, be sure to request an accessible room when making a reservation.
